ANSWERS FOR DID YOU KNOW.....MAY 5

                    When making whoopie pies

1 Boxed cake mix......any flavor or brand. Not a cake mix with pudding added to it !

Make cake ....3 eggs, 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup oil, 1 CUP flour.[on recipe has only 1 tblsp. misprint]

Scoop out batter onto cookie sheet lined with parchment paper [easier  to remove ,

and clean up ]  I used Betty Crocker and had no problems. Mixture should hold it's shape.

Bake at 375* for 8-10 min.

There are a varity of fillings on line. This is the one I make.

In a sauce pan mix 1 cup milk with 5 Tblsp. flour Cook, stirring constantly,

until mixture comes to a boil and thickens into a paste. Cool. Beat with mixer

till fluffy. Add 1 cup sugar, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 cup shortening, 1 tsap. vanilla.,

Beat well after each addition of ingredients. Takes about  20 min.

Cool cookies completly before filling. Good luck.

If you have any comments please leave them. Thank you, Jenny

Kids want S'mores, but it raining outside.....no problem

try this,,,,on a microwave safe plate,  place  3-4 graham cracker squares

break a Hershey's bar into triangles. put 3 triangle pieces on the graham cracker,

on top of chocolate put one large [ or 4 mini] marshmallow.

Microwave for 10 or 12 seconds.....or till marshmallow has softened.

Remove  from micro oven and put a graham cracker atop.....

Another one you should try....place  CHOCOLATE graham crackers on a plate

spread PEANUT BUTTER on it,  and place the marshmallow

on top of that. Microwave for about 11 seconds. Remove from micro-oven.

Put your second graham cracker on top.....yummy...

Microwave ovens vary in wattage , these times may be different for your oven,

              check to be sure......

If you have a toaster oven....

These can be made the same way only place on STICK FREE FOIL for easy

removal. Set the oven on toast and be sure to watch closely, as the marshmallows

browns quickly. When removing remember that marshmallow is HOT!
